If I'm having sharp pains every 10 minutes lasting 3 minutes, do I wait till I'm every 5 minutes lasting 5 minutes b4 I call docs??? This is my 1st child, just wanna make sure. I'm so excited I hope today is it!! I wanna hold my Lil man. :) I'm 39 weeks 5 days till due date.
Your pains should be about one minute long, and five minutes apart. You count them from the moment a pain starts to the moment the next pain starts. That amount should be five minutes. And each pain shouldn't last more than one minute.
Yes, most if the tune they say wait till they are five minutes apart. But I agree- doesn't hurt to call and update. Wishing you a good and uncomplicated labor:)
