contractions

Is it normal to vomit while contracting? My contractions r 5 to 8 mins apart n make sick. They sent me home last night cuz I wasn't dilating with them but now I can't keep anything down.

Oh yes.  I do.  It's a pain reaction.  Ugh.  Stay hydrated.  I actually, with my first, ended up quite dehydrated when I went in to deliver.  I had hours of fluid and a high heart rate.  So, drink small bits of water/gatoraid every 15 minutes.  

I know that during my deliveries I always need Zofran for nausea and vomiting.  

It will be over soon hon.  If you feel horrible-----  call your doctor.  they dont' want you to get dehydrated.  good luck

its not uncommon. most women tend to  only get sick once in transition but everyone is different and the cramping from contractions can put pressure on your stomach and make you sick. like the other person said she has had it as well.
