could cinnamon cause labor??

I heard that cinnamon causes you to go into labor,  is it true?  I am 37 weeks going into 38.. my cervix is already soften but I am not dilated at all and my baby is engaged. ..
if I drink cinnamon with sugar is it possible that it can cause me to go into labor or dilate?

I woke up this morning and my water broke. In the hospital now just waiting on my little baby. It must of been the tea! Lol.

Are u gonna continue drinking it now that u know it works? How far are u dilated?

I drank some, about 2 cups, 5 hours ago and im still having contractions!! I honestly didnt expect anything so I'm really surprised. Contractions are about 6-7 minutes apart now, and strong but not painful enough for the hospital. Im 38+1.

i have drank cinnamon tea while pregnant and nothing happened. im going to try it again and see if it helps.

So, i saw this and googled it. I went ahead and made some. I've only had about half a cup so far and I'm already having contractions. Could just be a coincidence.

I went exactly two weeks overdue and during that time searched for and tried everything I could find and never saw anything about cinnamon inducing labor. My midwife never mentioned it either. But who knows? If it helps, great, if not, it was tasty. :-)
