cow milk protein allergy??

My lil girl had severe cmpi and is on neocate formula. Jst wondering do subsequent babies have it also or is it luck of the draw?? Also should i avoid dairy etc in my diet while pregnant? (Im not pregnant yet) we are jst tryin to decide whether to try for no2 or wait if this allergy is facing us again!!!! Help! ;) x

I never got an answer as to what causes the allergy but you can't blame yourself. Now I did blame myself and feel horrible when we didn't know what the issue was and we continued to feed her the regular formula. I felt so bad giving her something that mad let her feel so bad. :(

Yeah wit my first omg ice cream ice cream ice cream lol!!!!! Thats why i was blaming myself for all the milk in my system!

No, I didn't avoid dairy, I really didn't think about it to be honest. With all of my pregnancies, I have craved milk like crazy.

My sitters lil girl had that allergy and shes been sloooowly growing out of it she's 19 months now their doc said lots of kids eventually grow out of it. Mom herself is lactose intolerant but still ate dairy while she was pregnant cuz she craved it sometimes and I believe her 2 older girls are lactose intolerant too but never had the allergy but anything is possible talk to ur doc

My oldest was the same way, but my other two were on regular formula.
