still spotting

I am now 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I started bleeding at 6 weeks, went to the er, and have been to the doctor. I had an ultrasound and baby was doing great exactly a week ago. But ever since the bleeding started (which lasted one day) I have been spotting, but it has been brown, which is old blood. My doctor said not to worry,  but this never happened with my first. My question is has anyone else ever experienced this during their first trimester? I don't see the doc for another week and a half and wonder should I be worried?

I was diagnosed with a subchorionic  bleed at 6wks. I started spotting that week from light to heavy with clots. I was scared, they said expect a miscarriage. im 13wks now and so far hb is great baby is growing. I.still had bleed as of an 8wk ultrasound but my bleeding finally stopped a week ago. just be patient and stay positive. its hard n im thankful to make it through another week . good luck

With my second pregnancy I spotted from week 6-9, ultrasound and blood work all showed that everything was fine. At 10 weeks I started heavily bleeding and passing tissue... Again ultrasounds showed the baby fine. I continued to bleed and it got worse at 14 weeks. The ultrasound showed I had a low laying placenta. (The placenta was developing over my cervix) I was put on bed rest because of the amount of blood. At 19 weeks everything stopped. My daughter is now 3. Try to rest and not to worry to much. I know it's hard. I was an emotional wreck. If the bleeding gets worst go back to the dr. Ultrasounds are reassuring seeing the lil bean jumping around. Another thing I did was I bought a Doppler so I could listen to the heart beat at home.

Yes I have had spotting for a couple weeks that progressed into bleeding and clots. Thankfully, the us looked very good.... Baby's heart was beating nicely, no blood seen around the baby or in my uterus. I stopped taking baby aspirin and only took the Lovenox (blood thinner)  and if went away. My bleeding progressed to red (fresh blood) yours is old blood and if your doctor isn't terribly concerned then I hope that eases your mind. Spotting and even bleeding are common in the first trimester. Drink plenty of fluids and try to put your feet up. Congrats and good luck!!
