I'm 9 weeks pregnant with baby #4 and I've had period like cramps with all of my pregnancies. Its just stretching and stuff going on. Perfectly normal.

Dana, I'm currently 12+3 pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy but 2 previous miscarriages. I've been experiencing period like cramps off and on since I was 5 weeks. I just recently bought a fetal Doppler so I can just look for the baby's heartbeat and put my mind at ease since I have a fear of miscarriage. I must say sometime he/she plays a great game of hide and seek and we can't always get a great heartbeat reading but when I try again later in the day I usually hear a strong steady heart beat. I know it's easier said then done but just try to remain calm and don't stress it. I know miscarriages are hard but know there was a very important reason why you didn't have the baby. I've been there myself and I'm thankful I am where I am today. Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh and if at anytime your unsure of something go to the er top be seen. They should do a full work up and ultrasound ;)

I am 5 weeks with my first and I am also having cramps.  I have mixed feelings.   For one I am afraid of miscarriage. it took such a very long time for me to get pregnant I would be devastated.  On the other hand they have become a comfort because I can feel my pregnancy.

I have miscarried twice before and am currently 14wks I had bleeding and cramps all through my first trimester and kept freaking out but bubs was fine. I still get cramping now like a period pain in the pelvic area and yet had an ultrasound 4 days ago and buns is moving around and has a strong heartbeat. I understand your stress and hope this has helped to ease your mind a bit :)
