cramps

Are cramps really common near the end of pregnancy? It feels like my period is coming but of course it isn't. Im 36 weeks tomorrow. I am extremely active (gym 4-5 times a week ) it just been getting them recently. Especially this morning.. is it just my body preparing for the end ?

I've been getting these since week 28. I I'll be 36 tomorrow. I went in at 28 weeks and found out I was dilated 1cm I'm now 3 cm and 80%. If they aren't consistent then I wouldn't worry to much. I get them really bad some times and it helps to drink a lot of water and try and relax. That usually stops them for me. I'm hoping that by the time I do go into labor I already have half the work done with dilation!

I've been getting the same for the past two weeks. Back pain,  cramps, bh. All of it, ugh! Dr said it's all normal since I'm only like 2.5 cm dialated and 70% effaced

It certainly could be contractions and the start of labor...as i said just time and make a note of them..call your doctor if your worried..unless they are consistent and getting closer together like 4-5 mins apart the hospital aint really gonna do much for you and just send you home..best of luck

Girl, that's textbook definition for contractions...time them, and call your doc!

They aren't Braxton hicks lol. Ive had those and felt nothing.like this. And i dont think its contractions. I just lost the rest of my plug this morning though. Just been having cramps all morning. And back pains. Which ive never had up until today. But i guess no one is going thru this :(

It could be braxton hicks, best thing to do is time them and write it down..real contractions will get closer together and more intense

I've been having them also and my doctor said if they are not consistent not to worry. It's just your body getting ready for the big day. Good luck!!
