curious

So everyone knows that babies cry and have feelings when they are born. But what about before? Like when they are kicking us and moving around. Are they playing happily? Or are they uncomfortable and frustrated? I know they cant cry while in-utero. But they have to have feelings before they are born right? And at what point do they start to get them? Do they express them and how? I know there probably isn't any way of knowing. Has anyone come across any articles? Or heard anything? Not really a serious question just a thought of mine.

That was an interesting article, thank you. I think it makes alot of sense that they absorb our feelings and it effects them after being born.  It definitely will make me think twice when I am stressing or upset. Worth the read for anyone who finds this topic interesting.

Interesting that they can cry, I thought you needed air to cry. Well not cry like a tear rolling down but sob/scream I guess like babies do.

Thanks everyone I'll have to check that out. Your comments got me thinking of whether or not they can feel pain as well. It's hard to imagine but say something happened and you had to decide whether to terminate or carry full term. Would the baby be suffering and feeling pain? I think you have to have nerve endings or something to feel pain. I wonder when they develop them? If that situation happened to me I would definitely want to know, before I made a decision.

I watched the video of the baby crying in the womb, too. It made me SO sad!!!
So now when I think he may be upset, I'll try to comfort my belly! haha

I wonder that too.  I know my baby moves a lot when I drink something cold.  Is he doing it because he likes it or because he doesn't?

that is a very interesting question. i know research says you baby can feel you pain and when your stressed they say your baby is stressed so why not other feelings. I really don't know but once your baby's brain is developing, why not ? hope this helps some.
