cyst while pregnant?/ vent

Has anyone had an ovarian cyst while pregnant? Were there any issues? I am prone to cysts and have had surgery to remove a large cyst before.  I am 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow and i had and ultrasound on friday and the tech told me there was a cyst on my ovary near the tube but it was small. Didnt surprise me.  However My dr called monday night and left a message to say he had a specialist look at the ultrasound and the specialist "doesnt like the look of the cyst" so i am going for a repeat ultrasound next week. Not sure what to think of this! I did some research and  know that cysts are common in pregnancy just not sure what he doesnt like about it. Baby is doing ok though so that is good! To top it off i also found out i have a gallstone this pregnancy ( after some excruiating  pain and spending the night in emerge) and  my gallbladder will have to be removed hopefully after baby is born if i can make it. Plus i am nauseous all day and night among other normal pregnancy symptoms. I am normally a healthy person and i feel like i am falling apart. I have had doctors appointments  and ultrasounds left and right which i am not used to at all.   My last pregnancy was easy peasy compared to this one! Sorry to vent but i havent told my friends about the pregnancy yet and hubby doesnt understand although he is supportive.

Well don't stress. Doctors have a awesome way of making us nervous over nothing alot. If it was that serious they wouldnt make you wait that long to come back.

I read that MrsV! I just didnt like how he told me they didnt like the looks of it.  He should have said we just want to check on the size!  And of course he left a voicemail at 7 pm so i couldnt call back!

Actually everyone gets a cyst during pregnancy. They form on the ovary the egg is released from. It's called a corpus.lyceum cyst. They usually go away on their ownon they provide the fetus nutrients until the placenta takes over. But with your history of them I see why your concerned.  Goodluck

I hve a history of ovarian cysts with my last pregnancy and thos one as well! However I got them in between my pregnancies! I have to hve mine closely monitored bc I my grandmother passed away from ovarian cancer!!!! Not trying to scare you hun, but I'm sure it's just a part of your pregnancy! As long as you and baby are fine, don't worry! Just make sure you keep getting checked out when you feel you need to! Good luck! ♥♥

I am hoping they are just wanting to monitor the size.  I didnt like how he said they saw something they didnt like. What does that mean? I know there are different types of cysts too. Hopefully it just goes away on its own.  It isnt bothering me at all. Day by day i get by!

With each of my pregnancies i have had a cyst on one of my ovaries, mine has went away on its own. So there was nothing to worry about for me. They kept checking it to see if it was getting any bigger or smaller. But it eventually went away. I'm now 26wks and i don't have anymore. It very common to get them while pregnant.  That's all the info I can tell you.
