decongestants?

Just found out I'm pregnant on Thursday...and haven't seen the doctor yet. However, my hubby has shared a cold with me. Is there anything over the counter you can safely take for congestion in the first trimester??

My Dr gave me a list of cold medications I could take pregnant. I can't find the paper or I would put it on here for you. All drs are different and have different rules my Dr said a whole list of medications were ok but my sister in laws Dr said she could have nothing not even cough drops.

Saline nasal spray works great at clearing nasal passages as well as cool mist humidifiers. Feel better mama!

There is stuff you can take besides tylenol and vicks.  But double check with your dr. On what it is (I don't remember off the top of my head ).  Some natural remedies are hot tea with lemon and honey, salt water gargle.

I feel your pain! I have gotten this nasty cold and been miserable for a few days now. I have not taken anything and I won't. I took Tylenol for the headache but that's it.. I'd call a doctor and ask what you can safely take. You can have cough drops also if you get a cough
