depression

I'm 17 weeks, having my 2nd child. I'm going through so many odd things in my head.  I'm so sad, it's a struggle to get out of bed or to just speak to people.  I feel like I'm going crazy.  Thoughts of suicide, although I have no desire to harm myself or my baby the thoughts are just there. I've told my doctor and she just brushed it off.  How do people cope with this?  It's there any one else feeling the way I do?

Thank you so much for responding to me.  Sadly i can't get another doctor.  The doctor i go to was assigned to me on base so I'm stuck.  I thought i would be taken more seriously since its military.  I talk to my husband about it but I have so much guilt because it makes him feel bad.  I do need to pray and just lean on god more.

Take some time for yourself. A warm bath and cup of tea always help me. I've been in my own low spots. Fresh air always helps too. God bless you and your precious baby!

Just pray to God, tell him what you are feeling. He will listen. Find a new doctor, you should be able to tell them without being pushed off. Hope things get better. I'll pray for you.

I'm so sorry hun, you don't deserve to be brushed off! Pregnancy is hard and overwhelming even without all the hormones.  Try to be easy on yourself and just take it a day at a time. Can you get a new Dr? Dr's are supposed to take you seriously and work with you.  If you feel like you don't have that you've got to find someone new or get a 2nd opinion.  Do you have anyone you can talk to? To go to the appointment with you?

Honestly, I'd be really lost without my church family. They remind me of God's love for me, and remind me to keep reading my Bible which strengthens my heart. But even with that depression is real and there's no shame in asking for help.
