will I see my baby at my first visit?

Hey guys. I'm 6 weeks and still anxiously waiting for my first doctor visit next week. I was talking to a friend and she said that I probably won't get a ultrasound at my first visit. Is this true? I was so excited to see my baby for the first time but hearing that I was a little disappointed!

Every doctor's office is different...at mine they do a vaginal ultrasound at the first visit and you get a little picture...the traditional ultrasounds dont come until later...12 weeks or so. But I know people that have doctors that do it differently. ..

It depends on your doctor. Mine only did a doppler at the visit & scheduled an ultrasound at 18 weeks. U should just call & ask to set your expectations.
