detailed heart scan

so im 23 weeks and due for a detailed hearr scan in a week for my baby girl im actually very nervous about it ! I have to have this because my daughter who is now 7 years old had open hearr surgery at just 11 days old  , im hoping everything will be ok rhis pregnancy as it was a very hard time watchi  my baby have major surgery so young

My daughter had tga transposition of the greater arteries and it wasnt detected at all untill she was 11 days old , it was the scariest day of my life as we were just about to go show her off finally but as I was getting her dressed I noticed she was starting to go a funny colour n started breathing funny so we rushed her straight to hospital

Wishing you good news. Do you mind if I ask what heart defect your daughter had and was it diagnosed before birth?

I'm having to have one as well along with a cardio echo gram done and I'm 21 weeks due to loss of a child at 7 months stillborn with a heart defect before. I'm so worried as well. It's hard to go through this bc there is nothing we can do but hope everything is okay. Stay strong!

I had the fetal echo's with both my pregnancies because i was born with a congenital heart disease n I've had 4 open heart surgeries... Starting at a month old n last one was age 13 I'm currently 22. But my bf (the boys father) also had one open heart surgery for a repair of VSD.  Our first boy is healthy born at 30 weeks and so far our second boys fetal echo looked like everything was normal. Hope this eases ur mind a bit :)
