It is said to soften the cervix BC it contains an enzyme called bromelian (I think that's how you spell it). But in order to bring on labor you would have to consume about 8-10 whole fresh pineapples. Canned and juice destroys the enzyme through pasteurization. Your stomach is a lot more sensitive while pregnant, so it may have just irritated your stomach and/or your bowels. If it gets worse, I'd call your doctor though. Good luck

They say it helps ro soften the cervix but think its if u eat 6-7 . Not with just a few bites or mouthfuls. May just be that its helped kick start ur labour. Possibly signs of early labour. Best to get checked out. Good luck hun.x

I don't believe in the whole "pineapple bringing on labor" because I have eaten pineapple throughout my entire pregnancy and I am still very much 35 weeks pregnant. But if you are in a lot of pain I would suggest getting checked out or letting your doctor know.

I eat at least 1 whole pineapple a week. I'm still very much pregnant 34w6d to be exact. It is said it can help soften the cervix but as for dialating you.. no.

I heard that they can help soften the cervix. It does sound like it could be signs of early labor. U should probably get checked out. Better safe than sorry.
