drinking alcohol

I just found out I'm pregnant. I tested positive with a hpt. According to all the apps and my lmp I'm at least six weeks. Up until this point I've stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol. But also up until knowing I have consumed alcohol. My Dr appt is next week...should I be worried at all that I may have hurt my baby??

i agree, you can't beat yourself up over this. you had no idea and if you had you would have stopped but you didn't know so how could you have changed it?  also, at 6 weeks i think you're still fine for a drink or two if you didn't know.
i agree, do tell your doctor you had some drinks and hopefully the doctor can ease your mind a little about it.

Before I found out I was pregnant this time, I got pretty drunk at a halloween party. I didn't find out until I was close to 7 weeks. Had a few drink before the party on other days too. I told my dr. And told me not to worry. I did the same with my son and he's healthy and happy. Not a single problem (other than he doesn't like to eat his veggies!! Grr! Lol)

Your little one will be fine. A lot of mums-to-be drank alcohol before finding out about baby on the way.

True I agree a little drink does no harm (in moderation) but if you can stop totally that's the best option. The first few months are vital, organs still developing.
But don't stress there's loads of ladies out there that don't find out until late & babies are fine. Eat healthy & take vitamins

Ur baby will be fine, uve given up now so im assuming ur not some alcoholic that drinks 24/7.... i didnt find out i was pregnant til i was nearly 19 weeks and when i was 16 weeks i was out drinking for my birthday... my baby is fine, perfectly healthy (thats not the only time i drank while not knowing) my midwife said not to worry, the stress and worry can do more harm!
