dry scalp

Are any of you mama's experiencing seriously dry scalp? Mine is flaking off (way worse than dandruff) it hurts and have been getting small sores on it. I don't use hair products except my normal shampoo and conditioner. I also don't blow dry or curl my hair.

I have had the same problem, my skin is crazy dry too...probably partly the winter weather here in pa and the pregnancy...It can be frustrating to deal with, I have begun skipping washing my hair, to every other to every 3 days, the natural oils of your scalp can help correct some of that.

Scalp benefits balancing shampoo by aveda. Their lines are expensive but you really get what you pay for. I was getting extremely greasy and flaky hair, I use Kenra and bed head products normally but went and bought aveda's rosemary mint and it totally changed my hair and scalp. No more flakes or itchy scalp for this lady (; the scalp benefits has even helped people with psoriasis. I went and bought the big bottles with the pumps but if you're unsure you can try a smaller bottle for a lesser price. They're pretty close to all natural and extremely good smelling, I definitely recommend it! I can't not wash my hair or I break out and get extremely oily. Oils make me extra oily as well, hopefully you find something that works! Best of luck to you

I'm 34wks and it started to happen to me, but I was glad to interven before it got worse. I use warm olive oil and leave it on for several hours massage it in and use a shower cap don't use any products with alcohol and try not to wash your hair every day bc you need to restore your natural oils I normally wash my hair 2-3 a week but I do shower every day just use a shower cap and it does the trick. Hopefully this is helpful :)
