Yea doesnt dry milk up. But very good to put in fridge and lay on your breasts when they are swollen and engorged and hurt :-) as for drying up milk it takes time naturally or doc can give u pills to dry it up.

I just had my baby 2 days ago im not breastfeeding but my breast are getting really sore swollen & hard. Do you have to heat it up? Do I just tear a piece off & put them in my bra? Will the swelling go down? Sorry I have alot of questions!!!

Cabbage helps when your engorged. If you want to stop lactation talk to your physician, they can prescribe something to dry up the milk.
