early scan

I had to go today to have an early scan as I have pcos and been on clomid and metformin to help fall pregnant. After one cycle I had a positive test. Went today and they said they could not measure what they could see on a chart but potentially there was a small sac. Have to go back next week. After trying for over year and a half I thought I would leave today with exciting news. Instead she mentioned I had to watch out for bleeding and pains in case it's an eptopic pregnancy. She did say worse case. Since then when I wipe after the toilet there is a slight colour in my discharge on the paper. I thought I was 7 weeks but they think I might not be that far. Worried until next week now

As the day has gone on when I wipe there is now blood in my discharge. I rang the assisted reproduction unit I've been going to and they want me in for a scan on Friday.

My discharge always is a different color and this is my 3rd pregnancy 27 wks along right now. Just keep in mind when doctors say that pur brain goes straight to the worst and any little thing becomes worry some. It's a silly analogy but it's like getting a new car say a white mustang, once u get it you all of a sudden see 1000 other ones like it bc u are being aware of it bc u have ur new wheels, just like pregnancy had she not said that u prob wouldn't stress to crazy much about the color of ur discharge etc. Try to not stress, and just keep faithful about it unless ur discharge is brown or red no biggie. Sometimes it can be dull yellow and sometimes food effects the color as well.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. This is my first time ever getting a positive pregnancy test so it's hard to know what is ok and what is not, so end up worrying about the slightest thing. I think I would have left ok yesterday if she hadn't said about an ectopic pregnancy and then my discharge being a different colour. Good luck with your scan. I'm sure everything will be fine :)

I am in the same boat as you. I have pcos, and can't get pregnant on my own we used metformin and fertility meds. I used the meds 1 month and got pregnant right away. I had early blood work to check my hcg levels and they were low to begin with but they doubled nicely so they weren't concerned anymore. However I worry daily. I have pains in my lower abdomen, but no blood. My ultrasound is scheduled for 4/3. I have had 3 miscarriages and I am terrified that when I go to have my ultrasound there is not going to be anything in there. Hang in there I know what you are going through. Try not to stress. Find something to do to occupy your time. Keep us posted.
