2 quarts (64 oz)a day is usually sufficient my doc says. A variety of fruits and vegetables is best.
A variety of fruit would be best bc each will give you different nutrients and vitamins. As for water I've never been given an amount to drink by a doctor. As long as your drinking plenty of water and not allowing yourself to become dehydrated you should be fine. I would be sick if I drank a whole gallon of water a day lol.
I'm not sure about the "best" fruit? Hmm that is a good question. I just eat a lot of different fruits: apples, bananas (my go to snack in the middle of the night), peaches, watermelon, oranges (my son loves), plums, strawberries, I even eat grapefruit, and the list goes on. I want my baby to love fruit like my daddy and niece. :)
Now about the water, my OB nurse said they would like for me to drink a gallon off water a day (a lot, I know). What helps me, more expensive though, is to buy the bottle waters. I love Aquafina and Smart Water taste pretty good also. But for me it's just something about seeing that big behind jug and knowing they want me to drink it all! :)
