I had an epidural with my now 5 yr old Andy 2nd was natural. Epidural made him and me more drowsy afterwards because I spent so much more time pushing and has to be told when to push. My now 2 yr old had natural was very painful but only.for a short amount of time. I was able to walk right away and both me and baby were able to bond and breastfeed right away.
I also had the epidural with my first and plan on having with my son thats due October 29th :)
Haven't had an epidural, just 2 waterbirths, but they're awesome! Great pain relief :) Congrats on going natural! It will be different to not feeling anything, but the positives are that you can move around, change positions and use gravity, pressure is taken off uterus a little, warm water is pleasant and calming and you get a gradual pain build up (doesn't all hit you at once) so I found it easier to deal with when it only increased a little at a time. And very empowering when you do it all yourself :)
I did it with my first but im plaining to do it with my second daughter
