evening primrose oil

I have been doing a lot of research on evening primrose oil...have any of you ladies used it? Or currently using it? I have been drinking my raspberry leaf tea twice a day since 35 weeks and am now 37 and will begin to take 1000mg of evening primrose oil hoping to help my body as natrually as I can to prepare for labour and deliver. This is my first baby!!

I'm 36+4 and I'm not taking it orally at all. If you insert vaginally it's supposed to soften the cervix.

I used it with my first pregnancy and it worked great. I started using it at 34weeks and I was 100% effected by 36 weeks. I was only in labor for 7 and a half hours and only pushed for 15 mins and she was out.

I feel fine to take it orally but I have been reading that some women also use it as a suppository? I'm a little nerves to try it in that manner.
