glucose test

Should I eat breakfast before I go? If so, what should I eat?

Side note..if I don't eat breakfast I'll be starving. I always eat when I wake up and my test isn't until 10

I had an egg white delight from mcdonalds and he no problems. The nurse said eat eggs and bacon not a honey bun, etc.

My doc said there are three. Non fasting a one hr and a three hr. I'm starting with the non fasting one tomorrow. They told me to eat protein and a complex carb.

That's crazy that so many women on here  said their drs said not to fast. I've seen 4 different obgyns and all sais for the glucose test is a fasting test. Maybe that's why I see so many women on here saying they failed their test? I've never heard of not fasting for this test tho crazy!

I go at 10 just like you & was told to fast.

Im glad u ask this question b/c I have to go do my test friday and I was jus about to google and see if I can eat. When I dont eat for a long time I get sick so I couldn't image not being able to eat anything

I'll let you know how it goes lol. I'm sure mine will watch me take it. They ate very thorough , everytime you go they even do a drug test. I like it though, it makes me feel like they are doing everything in their power to ensure my baby is safe and healthy.

I never take the test unless they watch me drink the stuff I go out side to sip on it and poor it out or say I have to go potty. Some drs offices watch you to make sure... that stuff is gross.   They always told me not to eat before test.

I go for my soon and my doctor said I can eat anything in the morning as long as it's not super sugary like a slurpee or something lol. I'll probably eat scrambled eggs but if you don't like eggs. . Then you can eat like a plain non sugar cereal,  a salad, something light and then after your done you can always eat something else.

I ate cereal but 2 hrs b4 I had my test I had cornflakes with no sugar I think...

Just no pop tarts, Reese's puffs, or eggo waffles before? Lol idk what to eat that won't make it jump up. I heard eggs but...eggs make me sick since I've been preggo

If they specifically said it is a fasting glucose test then you cant eat. But if not then you can eat. I had one last week and I didnt have to fast.

Its not a fasting glucose test....so you can eat.
