My Dr said to eat when and what I want, as my body knows what it needs.

Haha now that I'm close to my first trimester I feel like I can't get enough to eat! I want food all the time right now and I told my mom my little one is going to be fat from the third trimester or Bc I feel like I'm having a food baby! :) He is healthy though and I just think everyone reacts differently during pregnancy hunger wise, but I think we're on the same team. Haha :)

My digestive system has been pretty slow and I get totally sick if I splurge on junk food. Constipation, bloating, gassy, you name it! Does that ever happen to you?

With my first I are what I wanted but gained so much weight. My baby was about 7.5 lbs but I felt like **** most of the pregnancy. With this pregnancy I have made a conscious effort to eat healthy because I remember the price I paid with the 1st. So many risks and discomfort when you pack on too much weight.

Only you will decide what to do but just remember that you, like many of us, probably want your pregnancy to be as pleasant and safe as possible.

Best of wishes for a healthy baby and momma!

I'm not worried about shedding the weight off or not.  I was 195lbs before pregnancy So I'm fat to begin with

I splurge all the time and have only gained 16 pounds and I'm 28 weeks. People don't even think I'm pregnant so every body is different telling someone they can't shed off weight is ridiculous. Mind you before I was pregnant o ate pizza two to three times a week and remained at 125 lbs. my baby weighs 2.9 which is right on! So some people need to stop bashing her for being 38 weeks and eating what she wants her baby is fully developed and I'm sure very healthy! Don't mind these people, there are worst things you could be doing to your baby! And showing them the awesomeness of pizza isn't one of them!!

I have been mad craving carbs for a week, crusty Italian bread and yeast rolls. White toast etc... As long As You eat healthy majority of the time you should be fine, there is a difference between having a big baby and a fat baby.

I can say that in the beginning of my pregnancy I ate very healthy foods and snacks and did junk food maybe twice a mth or so...i have GD now. If you are fine at 34 weeks keep doing what you are doing! It obviously depends on the person.

I mean..your child needs great good to grow and develop. Splurging once or twice a month is ok but weekly is a bad habit. Your going to make it hard to shed the weight afterwards if its sloppy fats you consumed- just saying.

I just try to limit junk food regardless of pregnancy, I work at a hardcore health food place and I see the good and the bad. There are times I eat stuff that's not the healthiest, but I'm just trying to do right by me and my precious one. To each their own. I'm just happy I'm feeling my little baby, its the greatest thing I could ask for.

I never got offended and I rarely eat ramen noodles because of how much salt is in it.
My Dr told me not to eat a lot of fruit because of sugar but people eat a lot of fruits anyways.  I mainly just gained around my tummy and thighs.
Really what I put is how I feel. I mean I could have a 6-7lb baby, I could have a 9-10 lbs baby.  No matter what I'll love my child (:
I don't know how much my baby weighs, last time they checked my babies weight was like March 11th I think.

Woah, Woah,  Woah!   YOU posted about having a fat baby because of what you eat.   Ramen noodles, pizza and cinnamon sticks.  YOU posted that.  No one else.  You aren't allowed to get offended when people comment.  LOL.

Your baby won't be fat because of a splurge, when you normally eat veggies and fruit.  You, on the other hand, may have increased swelling, water weight and are putting your system through undue stress just due to the sodium content of Ramen noodles alone.  That stuff is loaded with salt :(

What you eat is not just about weight gain.  There are other components as well.

Please do not listen to that lady. I eat healthy when I can but for the most part I live off pizza and Burger King and Taco Bell have been my biggest cravings!! I take my vitamins, I'm 28 weeks completely healthy and have only gained 16 pounds! And my baby weighs 2.9 which is totally normal! Plus at this time of your pregnancy it really doesn't matter! Eat what your beautiful heart desires!!!

Thank you @dasart13
I don't think there's a rule really. I mean yes we need to watch what we eat prego or not. But I think we should just eat what we want (:

Is there some rule against eating what you want? Bc I eat more junk food (mcdonalds, pizza, etc) than I do "healthy" food, but me and baby are just fine. Like legit, just ab everytime I go to mcds I get 2 big macs. I can eat an entire pizza to myself almost. We eat tacos like 3 times a week probably. And I try to eat fruit but my 3 year old eats that stuff almost as quickly as I bring it in the door.

I normally eat pretty healthy but today I wanted McDonald's even though I usually hate their food. Doubled quarter pounder with cheese, frys, drink and 4pc chicken nuggets lol I always feel a little guilty if I eat stuff like that but I'm usually eating veggie wraps and salads for lunch, so mehhh.... WHEN IN ROME!

I hope your not eating like this all the time. Babies need vitamins and real food. Fat should be the least of your worries. How about anemia or diabetes? Or a number of other problems that can happen to you and baby while pregnant.
