I'm terrified that I'm go into labor n not be able to get to the hospital because I don't drive n I'm often alone is there anything I can do if this happens ftm here

I read through your profile and saw someone hosted a surprise baby shower for you - so you're not alone.  You have friends you can count on.

Call 3 or 4 of them,  and your boyfriend,  and tell them you want to put them on the list to drive you to the hospital when the time comes.

And ask your doctor when to come in - most docs say when the contractions are about 3 minutes apart.

Can you call a taxi? There's no friends or family to call? You don't need to head to the hospital the *second* you feel the 1st contraction, so as soon as you do you have time to start calling around.  Plus it would be wise to wait until your contractions are following a pattern to make sure you aren't experiencing false labor. Is a bus route an option either?
