What the heck why wouldn't they have called you first or stopped the procedure knowing she was pregnant. That's horrible and I would not be happy about that!! I'm sorry.
I think it got more to you because you're pregnant
Awww not the kittens!!!! As horrible as it seems I'm sure your hormones aren't helping the matter any. Firstly if you didn't know she was pregnant than she provably was not far along at all. Second getting her spayed will help to keep her healthier and reduce her risk of several cancers. Thirdly, its kitten season now and honestly more kittens get put down in shelters than I'd like to think about so this probably was the more humane thing to do for all parties involved... And this is coming from a huge kitty cat lover! I have 4 myself!
I don't think it's just your hormones, that really is sad :( I love my dog to death and if anything like that happened when I spayed her I would be bawling. Try not to beat yourself up about it though, you didn't know she was pregnant and you were only trying to be a good cat owner by spaying her. Say a prayer about it.
Thank you ladies. I just felt so bad. I mean this would've been her second litter. I do have one of her kittens from the first. She's a little older now and was spayed today also. I appreciate the kind words.
