fetal arrhythmia

Had an ultrasound today I'm 38wks tomorrow and they said my sons heart is beating twice then skipping a beat. She asked about caffeine and I haven't had any for a couple days, she also said it would probably go away. I have another ultrasound on Monday. But I'm so nervous. She also said it could be from not sleeping well which being 38wks pregnant I haven't been sleeping well. Any other moms experience this? I just want my son to be ok. :-(

My daughter developed a heart arrythmia at 36 weeks. She was delivered via emergency c section at 39 weeks. They tried to induce me but couldn't because they couldn't keep her on the heart monitor long enough. She was my first and i will admit it was extremely unsettling. She grew out of it by 4 months. I'm pregnant with my second and hoping this time around goes smoother. Everything will be okay :)

My daughter had a murmer when she was born, she's 6 now and its only been heard twice since usually when she's sick and her body is working hard to fight the illness. Its very common and most babies never have issues. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing. She said it usually goes away but I'm just a worrier. I hope for the best and try to prepare for the worst. Try being the key word there. Lol

Hi there.  I went to a level 2 ultrasound because they heard this on the Doppler at an appointment and turns out he has PAC.  They say it is a normal abnormality and it usually goes away after birth.
