I'm the type of person who thinks up worst case scenarios and end up having high anxiety.  Right now I'm pretty panicky about being a mom. I know it's alot of responsibility and takes patients and steals alot of attention.  But I can't get over having my baby and wanting nothing to do with him. Hopefully I'll feel differently once he is in my arms but I'm down right frightened.  What should I do to to get over this fear?

You WILL feel differently. Don't worry! If it's at all possible out it in your birth plan that you want to hold your baby skin on skin the SECOND he's born. No one is to take him away until you've had time with him. This will help both of you bond and it is so so good for baby who had just come from a warm place listening to his momma's heart beat and will be scared in a crazy new world. You're a mom right now and you're doing a great job! You will be the center of that baby's world from the moment he is born (you already are :-)). It is amazing. My two week of will be crying in someone's and as soon as I take her she quiets down because she knows me and my voice. I have spent my whole life babysitting and wondered how I would deal with my own child knowing how frustrating a crying baby can be etc. It is so different when it's your baby! It's amazing! You will be great! :-) Watch some beautiful home birth /water birth videos. Read some books about parenting maybe if that will help you feel more prepared. Talk to women you know and trust about their parenting experiences. You can do it! <3
