how early?

I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and again this morning. Both clearly positive. My period was only a week late before I forced myself to take the test, and my symptoms seem to run in line with pregnancy. But if my math is correct, I'm only 3 weeks pregnant. I've been very nauseous, crampy, and my breasts have been very sore. Does this seem right? Do women get these symptoms THIS really? I started getting the symptoms last week.

Thank you all... This is my first pregnancy, and my partner (who I've only been seeing briefly but have known for quite some time) and I are actually getting excited. I think that, that alone is a great sign for us.

With Me I Have Extra Long Cycles So I Started My Period Sept 1 I Ovulated On Sept 21 And Got A Positive The day Before My Period Was due On October 3. So Because I Can Tell My Dr When I Ovulated He Will Base My Due Date Off That 21St Date And Then Add 2 Weeks. They Will Always Add 2 Weeks. But Then Will Do An Ultrasound Normally To Date The Pregnancy And Make Sure Everything Matches up.

I started having symptoms super early with this pregnancy. I tested just a week late and had already been experiencing swollen and tender breasts and a queasy feeling in the mornings before breakfast for at least two weeks.

Yeah, your pregnancy starts from the first day of your last period. So you are 5 weeks. I found out a week before my period so I was 3 weeks pregnant. Everyone has different symptoms, and they do start early. My first symptom was migraines. I only get migraines during pregnancy so that promoted me to take a test, low and behold I am pregnant! 24 weeks now :)

So even if the day of conception was September 30th, they're going to say I'm further than I am? Interesting. Thank you all and good luck. I'm so nervous!

Being that ours was planned and I knew literally the day I got pregnant,  I started getting symptoms about 3-4 weeks. Not sure if that was psychological or not but I knew for sure at 4 weeks. Good luck and congrats!

If your period is a week late then you would be about 5weeks pregnant. Docs add on 2weeks. Pregnancy technically starts the first day of your last period.
I found out i was pregnant 1week before i missed my period and i was 3weeks.
I believe women get symptoms that early and some earlier. I never had symptoms with either of my pregnancies other that discharge so Im not too sure.
Congrats on your pregnancy!!! :)
