flu shots

Does anyone pregnant before have taken flu shot?
I just wanted to get it to be protected for my baby and myself so I don't have to worry about taking medications for cold and flu later. I work around people so do get in contact with sick people during season and wanted to be safe for us this year since I am 8 week pregnant now

I'm actually scared to get the flu shot. I've never had one in my life and I've heard some horror stories of things that happened to people after they got them : /

I got a cold my first month of pregnancy. Scared me so bad I got a flu shot. Its actually recommended by a lot of drs. It gives the flu shot to the baby too. I just let them know I'm pregnant because there is one that didn't have the mercury content that worried people. (Which didn't seem like much) I would recommend asking the on office if they have them first

I got my flu a shot already I never do but i cant afford to get sick I work in a pharmacy IT IS NOT TO EARLY TO GET YOUR FLU SHOT yes it isnt flu season thays why you get it now, ever know someone that gets the flu just after getting their shot? Its because they were already exposed to the bug. The vaccine is not live in the shot only in the nasal spray. Get protected if your going to, NOW because what I see happen is the kids start school and then everybody starts getting the flu a month or two later even people that don't have kids. Rite aid, walgreens, and Cvs all have the vaccine in stock. I know my Dr doesnt have it yet.

It's still early for flu season but when ur doc recommends it I would suggest taking it.  I was vaccinated just before pregnancy and my husband just after.  Pregnant women are immunocompromised and get the flu very badly.  Some have to stay in the hospital because of it.  Protect yourself are doing baby!!!

I personally don't do vaccines but your doctors office should offer both The flu and DTAP to you soon. Flu shots just went out to ob offices where I live about 2 weeks ago, not sure if it varies from.state to state.

My OB offered me the TDap and flu shot around 34wks I think. Unfortunately I never got it since they were out of it at that time I had my appt so I only got the TDap. So check with ur doc, they may already have plans to offer it to you later.
