for those who have miscarried before

How long did it take after your miscarriage to have your first normal period? After my last miscarriage in December it was only three weeks until I had a period (of which I was still bleeding the first two weeks or so) but it's been over a month this time, a couple weeks since bleeding stopped, and I'm still waiting. Just curious about what others have experienced.

I tested this morning just in case and got a BFN just as I figured. I was 12 weeks and had an incomplete miscarriage so I needed a D&C as well, that was 4.5weeks ago. I guess we'll just wait and see. Thanks for the input ladies :-)

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and never got my first period. I went to the doc and found out I was 9weeks 5days pregnant. So I got pregnant off of my first cycle. Maybe you should take a test?

I had a missed miscarriage at 13wks. I took exactly a month to get period. Then get pregnant right after that and now I'm 37wks. Good luck!

Mine came immediately after. I was 5 weeks and began spotting then contacting. I bled heavy for 7 days. The hardest part for me was waiting for my body to realize I was no longer pregnant. But my period regulated right after.

Mine was a bit more complicated...

I had a d&c done late november... I wouldn't stop bleeding so I was constantly checked. I bled non-stop for almost two months, which derived in anemia. Every two weeks I got ultrasounds done. Doctor told me I had a placental polyp, meaning that I had placental tissue there that wouldn't go away. She told me my options were another d&c or a hysteroscopy procedure in the examination room. I went for the last. It was very painful.

Two weeks later, I went back to the dr's and I still had the polyp. She told me I needed a surgery. So before that, I went for a second opinion.

New doctor told me I didn't need a surgery, took a lot of anxiety away! He told me to wait, cause it seemed the polyp was fading away on its own. I did, and after two months I went back to get checked and, voilá! it was gone.

So, for me, it took from November to May to recover.

I also miscarried in Dec. I remember bleeding for 2 wks. I was 7-8 wks along. I wanna say after that it went back to a normal cycle, but I barely can remember crap at the moment. Oh what, it was 4wks after. I was starting to think I was pregnant again because I hadn't gotten it in so long. After that it was normal again.

I miscarried at 5 weeks, I bleed for 7 days and the had brown spotting for another few.. I then ovulated 14 days post the first day of bleeding and had my period on day 28 as normal. We conceived our next baby three months later and we are now 24.5 weeks.

It's certainly a possibility, we were planning to wait a while to try again but since my cycle has been thrown off so badly it's very possible I misjudged ovulation. No symptoms whatsoever except the waiting for a period that hasn't come yet. Suppose I'll pick up a test but I would be very surprised if it was positive - when I'm pregnant I generally know it right away - this would be pregnancy #5 and hopefully baby #2, we've had a tough journey. My midwives have said that up to six weeks before a period is "normal" but that it's usually much sooner.

It took me 32 days to get my period when i had a miscarriage in May.  My periods usually run 31-32 days so I was shocked that it back to" normal" so soon.

I bled for 2wks then had a hormone imbalance afterwards and had to go on some tablets for a couple of weeks before my period started again.
