I been eating pineapples since the beginning of my pregnancy and im 37 weeks and still haven't had my son so i think its a old wives tale that people thinks induce labor. But in all honesty why induce your self, just stop trying your baby will come when your baby is ready. If you needed to get induce then your dr will do it. But dont try to do your self. Just be patient.

Agreed... I love pineapple! I would have had a premie by now if it induced labor. I wonder where this myth comes from... maybe there's some truth to it if your close/meant to go soon anyways. I no bromaline(?) In pineapple breaks down protein maybe it has something to do with that?

It would take 6 or 7 while pineapples to soften the cervix or make your stomach upset sending you to the bathroom. It's just an old wives tale.

I crave fresh pineapple! I'm 32 weeks now and have been eating it since the beginning when I crave sugary stuff

Don't do it!!  Ask it did for me wad make me sick.  Still to this day can't eat pine Apple.
