do you think family history rings true

So my mother passed away when I was young and I never really kept in contact with my mothers family since they are in Wi and Im in tx. Anyways they have been talking to me latley, so they told me every single women in my family has had a csection except one, my cousin. Apparently the women in my family do not dialate. With that Beingsaid of course Im freaked out, a. Csection is the last thing i want. Now Im nervous, Im about to be 26 weeks. Anyone wany to ease my mind? I guess it would be smart to try and make arrangemrnts for help afterward just in case. Ugggg

Thanks. Cause I really want to do this naturally. I had a reoccurring dream before I got pregnant that I gave birth naturally, hopefully it all comes true lol cause yes the dream had the pain of childbirth in it but it also had the newfound love and joy moment you have when you hold your baby for the first time. Its in gods hands at this point, not mine.

Just because they had csection births doesn't mean you will. Especially since a lot of drs are rushing to csection if things are taking "to long". Plus how many of the women asked for the csection based on the family history and never even tried? I have had all of my children natural. And I have always had a plan b for a csection in case of emergency. So I see no harm in making after care arrangements just in case. But no way do I think you're destined to have a csection for sure. :)

I dont know that I would take that as a for sure outcome... definitely keep it in mind but Stay focused on that natural birth!
Heres my story...

I had a c section with my first. ..and VBAC with my second. The recovery for a c section sucked! The same problem had occurred the 2nd time and my 2nd baby was even bigger, I was told I was "probably gonna need a c section" I was bound and determined to own that birth lol. I spent my pregnancy reading up on c section rates and why they happen etc etc...I delivered my son naturally. Now I'm free to deliver vaginally again.

Good luck <3
