fruit&vegetables

I'M 29 weeks pregnant first time mother... I'm not a big vegetable person but I love fruit which I know has natural sugar blah blah.. I decided to get v8 100% vegetable and fruit Juice to help me with incoporating vegetables in my diet..anyways today my sister in law who I do not like so much said if I don't eat more veggies my baby will be 9lbs or bigger basically saying fat ans overgrown.. it irritates me that she said it but is it realistic for me to just drink the juice or should I go buy some veggies no bashing please...

Thank you both yea she is a small skinny girl so she feels because I'm bigger my baby will be big...I wasn't this big until I had a slight depression moment in my teenage years and that's true my doctors told me before there was sugar in my pee so what I did was reduced the amount of sugar I ate and began eating better and since then no more sugar in my pee I take another glucose test Monday I passed my first one.. so yea imma keep tryin and hope for the best

Better natural sugar then a bunch of garbage. I actually eat very similar I love fruit and can't stand most veggies... and through my morning sickness phase with my first child I ate almost nothung but fruit!  She was 7lb 12oz and 20" long. As long as you try to maintain some sort of healthy diet and don't eat burgers every day then you're fine.

I'm sure you've already noticed that since you're pregnant,  everyone around you is going to feel like it's their duty to give you their unsolicited opinion.  I'm not a nutritionist,  so I don't really know how to answer your question. I'm not sure if just drinking the juice is enough,  but it's obvious you're trying.  The point of my post is to tell you she shouldn't have tried to scare you like that.  I do know that no one can predict how big a baby comes out to be.  You're eating lots of fruit,  not cake and ice cream.  She should have been more considerate.  I'd say ask your doctor to get a real answer,  but until then,  don't sweat the small stuff.  If your doctor hasn't said anything about your weight, your sugar levels, or the baby's weight,  then it sounds like you are doing just fine and you don't need to change anything. Congrats on the pregnancy. Keep up the good work =)
