gender scan at 15 weeks

How accurate is a gender scan at 15 weeks? We are considering paying for a 3d scan to find out early..any stories from other moms on how accurate they are?

I had mine at 17 weeks and my doctor didn't have any issues deciphering the sex..

I found out with my last one at 15wks and some days and it was accurate he stayed a boy lol and that was with a regular sono and hopefully this time around I can do the same maybe it's just me but you would think a 3d sono would show better early than a regular one but idk that's just my opinion but like others have said since you're paying out of your pocket maybe give it another wk or two but of course like always it's completely up to you

I've always been told 15 weeks is fine and mine was accurate

It would be way more accurate if you wait until 20 weeks. Like kirstenthecat saif, penises can take a while after 15 weeks to grow out for some.

Boys penises can develop as late as 17 or 18 weeks. Id wait till ur 20 weeks

They say the best time to find out the gender is 16-20. 15 you might be able to see, lo has been developing their genitals since week 10. But if you are going to have to pay I'd say wait another week to be on the safe side.
