genetic ultrasound

Hi ladies
I was at the doc office today, am 9 weeks pregnant.. and she said that she wants me to do the genetic ultrasound for dawn syndrome screening or so ..
So have anyone of u experienced this before? What should they see in this genetic ultrasound? Am kind of worried

That's something that most doctors offer all pregnant women. It just looks for some physical markers that mean that the baby might have down syndrome.

I had this test done also they look åt several things ask your doctor about thé jack än Jill gender determination they can dö it also while your there än you could already know what you are having i had mine done åt 13 weeks 4 Days they could already Tell by ultrasound thé sex but i still wanted thé gender determination to double check its Very scary worrying about thé test but once you see your baby bouncing around ön thé screen you Will feel such relief

My doctor has organised these tests for me, one is an ultrasound called a neucral translucency where they measure the amount of fluid near the base of the head/neck on the spine and the other is a blood test, your blood. I'm 9w4d and have to go have the tests done at 12 weeks.

Children with down syndrome can sometimes have heart problems so they do a pretty intense organ screen and just try to diagnose any issues as early as possible.
