Is it your first baby?? It's very common to be over due with your first. Ya they can't really do a sweep if you aren't dilated at all.... That's why my Dr wouldn't even try. But hang in there. Sometimes it all happens at once. I could be that you will wake up in labor one morning and not need to be induced. :-)

My labor was 8 hours. They gave me cytotech when I was 12 days over due and that's all they did.. Well they started pitocin when I was pushing cuz my contractions had slowed down but I had already got tru all of labor without it.. Apparently I was having contractions when I went in but didn't know it.. About 7 minutes apart. Its honestly best to wait and let your body start the process that way there is a less likely change for c section because your body wasn't ready. My Dr wouldn't do anything at all including a sweep because my body hasn't started the process. He still only have me a 60% chance of a vaginal delivery being that far over due. Let your body do what it needs to. Sometimes a baby just needs to cook a little longer. You won't be pregnant forever and due dates are estimated. They aren't exact by any means!!!

I prefer it... I have had 2 kids... And I was induced... Once I am admitted.... It hurts a lot more becuse its forcing labor....but instead of 24hr labors I usually only have 6-10 hr labors.... Good luck mama... I hope the baby comes before Monday xoxo
