glucose test

I have my glucose test on Tuesday, eek. Any advice on how I can pass this and not have to do the 3 hr test? I'll try not to eat any sweets Monday and Tuesday but this baby has me craving shakes like a mad woman!

Id you want true results don't eat anything from midnight on!!!!  they are treating your blood sugar.... Once you eat anything or drink anything it raises your levels which will come back too high and they will send you for a 3 hr. Just went through this myself. I did one where i wasn't fasting and levels came back high switched doc and she said i should have fasted. Its a way for doc to get more money for more tests. If they tell you not to fast it is a sure way you will fail.

I've always had to fast. So I would make sure you can eat before testing.

My doc suggested nothing too sugary for breakfast, she said high protein breakfast.

I was told drink lots of water and eat a big spoon full of peanut butter right before I drink the drink

I agree, don't think there is anything to do to help pass it. Just drink a lot of water and try your best to stay healthy.
