pregnancy rant

Am I the only one who wants to punch people in the face who tell me that being pregnant is fun?  Nausea, dizziness, cramps, swelling everywhere, constipation, food restrictions, emotional roller coasters, bloating, fatigue, labor, etc...I'm sure there are fun moments but overall it's not fun.

I had to fight the urge to punch a random old lady in the face at the grocery store. My stomach is not public property but she felt the need to walk up randomly in the bread isle and touch it and then asks me when I'm due and me telling her (March) she had this shocked look and said "Bless your heart you're huge already!" Yeah...thanks for that lady. I think I just want to get some shirts made that say "No I'm not due yet, and no I'm not having twins" that way I don't have to keep up the cycle. The sad part is I've gained no weight - but my bump just looks like it's 3 months ahead of me. That's my rant at least lol.

I hate when people ask when your due date is then says oh well it will be here before you know it. That's easy for them to say cause they are not pregnant.

I try to think of reasons to hit someone. I think it will release a lot of stress if I can just let it out. No matter how special pregnancy is you can not enjoy never ending aches and pains, headaches, the heavy belly that seems to be carrying iron instead of a baby, no sleep and the can't find a comfortable position to stand, sit or lay in. No one is that fun during pregnancy, I went through my last pregnancy with my sister in law. She was always smiles and crazy happy, it Made me sick because I was so miserable. Personally I think she was fronting because no way anybody could be that happy all the time.

After all the bad symptoms goes away then pregnancy is enjoyable, but then you get other symptoms like the lag cramps the back aches. But feeling the baby move and kick is nice.

That's nothing. I was scared before giving birth to my first and my grandmother said if she could do it for me she would. She said she like being pregnant and giving birth, I thought she was crazy. I now know what she meant after having a few of my own, but everyone knows better than mouthing off at a pregnant woman. Pregnancy is miserable but it is something you willingly jump into and most will be willing to do again.

Everytime I mention the lack of sleep or something, I'm bombarded with, "enjoy all of your pregnancy". So aggravating! I apparently can't complain about anything that may be pregnancy related. I can't even speak to my best friend about my pregnancy woes because she's unable to conceive. The only person who's supportive is my fiance. Thank God I at least have him.

I think the only enjoyable parts of pregnancy, at least mine anyway, are the doctor visits for updates, the baby moving/belly flutters, shopping for baby, some pigging out and having hubby help out with more housework!  Lol

I don't think its fun like women say but I do consider it a major blessing as there are many women who try very hard to experience the train wrecks of pregnancy and can not. So I try to think of that when I'm asking myself why did I wish for this again?

Well yes. But maybe they're looking back now that they have their sweet baby in their arms and remembering different.  Try to remember they're probably just trying to be friendly, even if it's super annoying!

I do. My oldest sister was so worried that I was going to have a horrible pregnancy.  Both my sisters had something wrong with each of their kids. But so far I don't gain weight and I'm always nauseous.
