glucose test

b4b
So I got a call this morning saying my one hour glucose levels were elevated and I have to do a three hour test... This is my fourth and I have never had to do the three hour test before. I am really disappointed because for the last 2.5 years I have been eating whole foods, limiting sugar, and exercising a lot. This really came out of nowhere. I am hoping to pass the 3 hour test. My husband is mad at me for some reason about the whole issue, although I fail to see how or why he would be more upset than I already am.

Thanks mamas! My doc tested early for some reason, I was only 12 weeks and will be 13 for the retest. I am praying the three hour comes back normal. :)

Ugh I had to do the same thing, it was awful because I hate needles! And it was all for nothing because my sugar levels are fine! Most people pass the 3 hour so don't get stressed over it your more then likely fine! :) good luck

Unfortunately your current lifestyle choices don't  matter in whether or not you have gestational diabetes.   It's your placenta that goes rogue.   But that diet and exercise will help so that you can keep the baby and you from having any issues from the extra circulating glucose.   So it's great that you already have those good habits formed.   That's where people run  into trouble.

I just had to do this last week. I passed the three hour test! Keep your hopes up! My nurse said it is rare that someone fails the three hour test. Good luck!!
