glucose testing

Hey ladies.  So I took my glucose test when i was 16 or 17 weeks and passed. But after reading some of the posts...do they test you again when you're further along? I'm 20wks7days. Just wondering.

I am overweight and my doctor had me do the one hour test at 20 weeks. I failed, so at 21 weeks he made me do the three hour test and I passed. I then had to do the one hour test again at 28 weeks and luckily passed it. My doctor told me that the highest point for the glucose levels in your body are between 26-28 weeks.

Moms that are at higher risk for GDM such as obesity or PCOS may have early glucose testing. If it is negative, it should still be repeated at the typical age of 26-28 weeks. Even if mom passes the second test, GDM can still happen later. A fetus with a "large" abdominal circumference and average head and femur size can be a sign of GDM.
