pros and cons on c sections.

I was informed by my Dr a month or so ago that my son was transverse well I went to the drs last week and he was breech. I'm 34 weeks 4 days. I go the 24th of this month for an ultrasound to check his weight and his position. They think he could be 10lbs. Either way I will be getting a c section and I'm scared very scared. I would like to hear stories about them. I also have 3 little girls. 5,2,1 are their ages.

The worse part, for me was being cold. During my c sections and epidural. After omg I nearly scratched my face off... Apparently a side effect of the epidural. Nice nurse gave me benadryl and I was all better. Other than that my c sections went great. Heard my boys first cries and my hubby cut the umbilical cords and done in 45 minutes. Recover does suck, just take the pain meds like they tell you too... I tried to be "strong" and not take them worst mistake ever.

I only have 1 and she was a csection, I'm hoping this one will be also. Pro: I was only in labor for 2 hrs, my baby was breech so there was no chance of me even trying for vaginal, no pushing, no stretching out of the vagina, no having to be careful going to the bathroom afterward..the only con: healing time was longer. I didn't mind it at all. Good luck! Congrats!

I wouldn't be too scared. I haven't had a csection but my mom and 2 aunts and best friend and close coworker have all had csections. They were all with the first baby. 4 of those went on to have vaginal with their second children. They ALL say csection was great, and the 4 who have had vaginal after said that a csection was much easier to deal with and they would prefer that if they had babies again. Its not necessarily what we all want, usually we hope for a regular birth... But I hear only good things about them despite the emotional disappointment of missing the actual labour process. You will be OK mama. Plus the babies usually come out quiet and calm and without flaws from missing the trauma of the birth canal. :) so that's a silver lining.

A c section for me was all pros!!!! After being in active labor for 36 hours and nit dilating past a 2
A c section was a breeze for.me I went back in the operating room and withing 30.mins of surgery a he was out 8 lbs 3 oz and I was holding her in my arms
Next day I was walking a he round and I was out of the hospital in 3.days a he rounded recovered in 1 week and only bled for.one.week.
I wouldn't have it any other way I wish they would of.just did th2 c section in the first place instead of inducing my a he rounded ND having me in labor for practically 2 days!

I am currently pregnant with my second child I also have to having  a c section. This will be my second one. I didn't have any troubles. I just remember the anesthesiologist telling me if u feel sick let me no or if u get cold let me no. I can help with this which he did. I felt sick and he gave me medicine and when I got cold he got me a blanket with a built n heater.  Other than that this was it. It wasn't bad at all my down time wasn't bad either. Did everything myself due to the fact I wanted to. U will do great your a mother and I have learned we can do anything.
