It could be the start of scar tissue. I don't have a lump or any hardness but after my 1st section the one side healed differently. It's slightly more red and has more numbness on that side (even after 10 years and a 2nd section). I would say if the lump doesn't go down soon, though, to be more insistent they figure out what is going on!!! Feel better!
I had a c-section last year in July and had the same problem. Turns out I kiloid scar very bad and that's what it was. It hurts constantly and I am 2 weeks from my second c-section and my scar is so gross. I am having a scar revision with this c-section and they will cut out all the scar tissue and use a different method of stitching made for kiloid scarring. I hope this helps but I would 100% go back to my doctor and ask about scar revision if they agree it is kiloiding.
Thnx! I will def ask my Dr about that. I didn't know scar tissue hurt. This was my second c section, my first was 12 yrs ago at 25 wks. It was an emergency c section and since I've had an ovarian cyst but that has gone down now and the Dr said this is def not my ovary cuz its in a diff spot. I'm going to wait until my 6 wk checkup to see if it's gone down. I really hope it does and they don't have to open me back up again :(
