5 weeks terrible morning sickness, first baby

Has anyone had any luck with take B6 to curb nausea? I am pregnant with my first and was hoping I would be like my mom and grandma and not get morning sickness. Is there anything else safe that ladies with terrible morning sickness that lasts all day has tried? Checked in with Doc yesterday and she gave me a couple suggestions but want to know what has worked for others.

When you wake up lay in bed for. 15 mins and nibble on some crackers also try peggie pops and drops, morning sickness tea, seabands, and freeze lemon water into ice chips and suck on them for days water makes you sick

Thanks all! Things are definitely getting better! The B6 seems to be helping as well as drinking what seems to be my body weight in water (with Lemon). If I eat ginger after my meals it also seems to help the tummy.

I find I have no appetite though, eating is a bit of a chore. I will be hungry but chewing seems like hard unnessary work (swear I was not fussy before pregnancy). So I eat 6-7 small snack like meals a day and for the past few days have not been feeling as nauseated - just super super tired! I am lucky to be home for another week before I have to go back to school. Fingers crossed the B6 keeps working!

B vitamins, ginger, etc. None of it helped me and I think it mostly has a placebo effect for other people, if any.

Zofran helps. I was prescribed that at the ER for HG (severe, constant vomiting) when I had to repeatedly go in there for an IV because I was so dehydrated/malnourished. (I lost 30lbs. during the first trimester.)

It's a medicine that was developed to help chemo patients with the severe nausea. It's safe for baby and highly effective. You just want to take it proactively (before you start a vomiting bought) so that you can stay nausea-free. They usually prescribe 4mg tablets, but I was advised to increase the dose until it actually worked. (up to a max of 32mg) I ended up taking 8mg to 16mg a day for the first trimester.

Getting enough water and potassium also helps nausea. Stay hydrated. It's hard when you puke everything up, I know.

I had all day sickness with this pregnancy...the B6 helped a ton and  also my dr&midwife suggested doing smoothies and adding a pregnancy safe protein. Those helps a lot and also adding on a protien snack right before bed. Everytime you get hungry it can make the nausea worse:/
Also try lemon slices in your water that helps nausea!

Hope you feel better soon! It usually goes away or gets Way better second trimester
