I called my drs office today about my heart burn. I was taking prevacid before I got my positive hpt and wasn't sure if I could continue taking it so I haven't for the last 4 days and have been suffering so bad. I have acid reflux and ulcers so tums never helped. They said that prevacid is safe to take. Plus it is otc so no prescription needed.

Yes I have acid reflux to! I used to wake up in the middle of the night for months with my other pregnancys screaming as if I was getting cut open... It ***** but everything the doctors give me dosnt seem to help the only thing they could tell me is not to lay down after eating or drinking to wait at least 2 hours! It helps a little and I kinda just have to deal with it hopefully the meds help you out! Good luck!!

I was just about to post this!!! I rushed to the ER yesterday, felt like I was dying. Found out it's acid reflux (so they say!). They gave my maalox and a new prescription. I hadn't started taking them just in case there's some sorta risk.
