heart racing and feeling faint

yesterday I had a pretty bad, atypical headache, felt faint and gross and ended up actually fainting onto my bed so I went into the er at like 2:15 am. My blood pressure was high for me butit came down pretty quickly. They gave me fluids but iI didn't appear to be dehydrated according to them and it was a precautionary step. They also have me benadryl and duladid(sp) and I was discharged at 4:30am. Went in for my anatomy scan in the morning (baby boy like I said!!!! :)) and felt pretty faint all day. Well this evening around 4pm, it got worse so I tried some honey to see if that would help cuz some sites suggested it. It helped some, enough to keep me off the floor. Tonight though, I ended up having to call triage because it's happening again. My husband's working and my 4&6 year old are sounds asleep so it's just me and not comforting advice from triage. Just that I should Tylenol pm or benadryl, which I don't have and can't get right now. Any suggestions because I'm scared I'm going to pass out and not wake up although unlikely, I'm still virtually alone and super freaked out!!! Thanks so much cuz I don't know where else to turn. Sorry it's long!!!

Have they Checked your iron levels? Hypoglycemia or even high blood sugar can cause fainting and dizziness. I would have a friend or family member near by just in case anything happens especially if your husband is working etc. Good luck

It sounds like an iron issue. Ask your Dr to do a blood test. Could also be low blood pressure too.

Thanks ladies!!! I gotta figure it out sooner than later! I'm trying to make the most of my kids not having their brother here cuz it's gonna be a big change. Wanted to take them to a zoo boo thing Sunday but am not going to unless this is better by then. Makes me feel bad!

I kept fainting all throughout my pregnancy, turned out I was severely anemic, had to have an iron infusion in hospital, haven't fainted since. Maybe get your ob to do some bloodwork at next appointment?

I have been faint & had black out spells. It was recommended that i eat more protein than sugary foods, not to get up from sitting quickly, drink cold water, & put a cold towel around my neck. Those things helped. My sugar & blood pressure is fine. Im 29 weeks tomorrow.

I had o.j.this morning and I have had fainting spells outside of pregnancy from unknown causes although they did a billion tests. I've been gulping honey dang near since it started but it's not letting up. It doesn't help I'm pretty much left alone with allmy scary thoughts. I feel my boy in there wiggling so that's comforting but I still have those black/glittery floaters that I had all night last night. I am terrified to get up to go to the bathroom because that's when I actually fainted despite moving like a snail. I barely made it back to my bed with my husband's help. This is totally unnerving and so hard to just "try and relax" to wait it out. My anxiety is going through the roof so it's not helping but I'm not hyperventilating.

Your blood sugar might just be low, make sure to drink a lot of water, an occasional oj, shoot, have some donuts or something.. Lol but that might just be all it is. If honey helped then it might be your blood sugar levels. Oj has a lot of sugar in it. I crave sweets allt he time.
