My daughter was born on her due date and it was the day before mothers day. That was enough for me. I personally would never ask to get a gift.

With my first pregnancy I didn't get nothing from him. she was born 2days after mothers day. My husband told me that ur not my mother u don't deserve one. It was sad but I understand it. I only got an angel gift from my sister. :)

You're very lucky most men don't get hints they just fly right over their heads!  I figure if hubby gets me flowers great if not its OK I'm not due till the end of September.

My husband said he would get me flowers because my son will be born by fathers day but not mothers day so it would be fair :)

I think maybe drop a hint but telling them outright kind of takes the specialness out of it... maybe say I'm so excited I'm a mommy for this mother's day... its so special!!! I was due on mothers day with my first and she didn't come for 9 more days but I got a card and roses, which were sweet and I dropped a similar hint about it!!! Happy mothers day mommy to be

No mother's day is for your child to do something for you not your husband.
