Im drinking teecino its a herbel tea that helps get rid of the acidity in your body. Alkalines it. My fav is the vanilla nut. It taste really good, they have all diff flavors and a coffee. None have caffeine. I had horrible heartburn before I got pregnant.
I am 28w and have been dealing with reflux for 2 months. Mine was so bad I ended up in the er. I was doing Zantac and tums with little luck. But my mistake, I was still eating whatever I wanted. After the er visit I completely changed my diet. I only drink lactose free milk, people will say soy milk but I think lactaid taste better, I have pretty much cut out fried food and sweets completely. If I do know I will be eating out I take a Zantac before and usually have no issues with reflux. It's been bagels, grilled chicken, and pretty much anything else bland you can think of lol but beats throwing up stomach acid lol.
My doctor advise no baking soda not sure why... put prescribed me Zantac twice a day. If for some reason that doesn't work I also take Tums
I got heartburn really bad like that with my 1st couldn't eat drink or sleep told doctor and he gave me prescription for prevacid. It helps to tell them because they can help you with something stronger than tums. Thankfully i had a lot with last one and this one but not as bad and have been able to just take tums. You could also try mixing some milk water and salt in a glass and drinking it but it's nasty. My mom told me to and it worked but I rather tough it out because it's too nasty for me but I can't stand plain milk.
My dr had to prescribe me something because it was getting so bad.
the brat diet may help. Bananas, rice, toast, applesauce
My doctor told me to take prilosec and it worked right away. I use tums too.
Mine has gotten so bad the end of this prenancy I had to go back on my Zantac. I was just taking Tums.
Try mixing baking soda with water. It works immediately. Works all the time i have a heart burn or acid reflux.
