I have been through a lot of stress as of late aswell, and had the same concerns. I figure if women in third world, or war torn violent societies can have healthy pregnancies through that everyday stress, that I will be okay.
Just take a breath the next time an argument pops up though, and imagine the baby in the room, as opposed to the womb, and try and not let your emotions get out of control. Tell your husband the same, that you are hormonal and very emotional and he is arguing with two now...to back off. ;)
Thank you, its a big relieve to know that, i dont want my baby to be affected with our problems...
Your body produces stress hormones that cause your heart rate to rise, the sweating, things that are associated with stress. These hormones can cross the placenta. That's why it is best for you to stay calm. But the good news is there is no evidence that a few episodes of stress can have lasting effects. The real concern is the periods of super intense prolonged stress. :) baby should be fine.
