Also try rubbing pure lavender oil on your temples. Eucalyptus as well.

I suffered from migraines and I def went through the caffeine withdrawals which helped my migraines. I was taking excedrine which was the only thing that worked. Also caffeine loaded energy shots. Soni had the so bad and Tylenol extra strength did not work. I just laid down covered my head and had total darkness and silence. I am 10 weeks now and the have subdued. It will get better.

You can safely take 3000 milligrams of Tylenol daily.  When I get bad headaches I always go right for 1000mg.  Usually knocks them right out. Also, for next time,  try taking it when you start to feel the pain coming on. It works better that way. But if you're still not getting any relief after that call your doc.

After 5 days of a migraine that just wouldn't break my dr sent me to the er last night.  They were able to give me fluids to help rehydrate and some Reglan through IV which has finally broke the migraine. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

Knufrio is correct- no caffeine in Tylenol. It is in Excedrin, but you can't take that during pregnancy. Laying down in a quiet, dark room with a cool compress can be helpful. Staying hydrated and drinking something with caffeine can also be helpful. His your vision? Do you normally wear glasses? Could just need to have your eyes checked.  However, prolonged headache can also be a sign of increased BP. So if all those other things don't work is worth getting evaluated.  Feel better:)

Caffeine is not the main ingredient in Tylenol. Actually in most Tylenol there is no caffeine. However caffeine can help with a headache which is why they put it in migraine meds like Excedrin (which you can't take cuz they also contain aspirin).

Yeah, everyone above are correct. There's not much else you can do other than tylenol. Extreme  headaches accompanied by visual  disturbances or light sensitivity  are signs of pre-eclampsia. Also watch out for sudden swelling box your body.

Extreme headaches can be a sign of high blood pressure so see you dr if it doesn't get any better. I brush my hair over & over it's like a scalp massage.

Try drinking some liquids, headache could be from lack of hydration

Drink a cup of coffee or a cola, something with caffeine.... Caffeine is the main ingredient in tylonal.  It works faster cause it's in liquid form.
Or you can wait it out, and darken the room as much as possible, no light, no noise, and take a nap. Maybe a warm bath might help. I always drink a coke and it's gone within a few minutes.
