Hi i took a hiv test through out my pregnancy all have been negative,but im scared tht i still may have it because ppl say the man i used to mess wit have it supposedly..is ,whats the odds of it showing upn my bby after birth ?? Remind u im  testing negative tho

It takes 6 months usually for it to show up. If you have tested negative and it has been longer, I wouldn't be worried.

Yea it was definitely longer than 6months since ive last delt with him its juz i have so many ppl around me being negative...an taking dwn this pregnancy has beeb the worst im juz concern for my bby health.this is my 1st bby

Do not breast feed and think about doing a C section

Didn't plan on breast feeding,an far as c section..i dont think,i can get 1 becuz my test are negative im not saying ive been diagnosed im sayin im just still worried i may back ive been tested through out pregnancy

Do you actually know if he has it for sure? You can't always rely on third party information without talking directly to the guy himself...

Ur right,i dnt know for sure since the rumors surfaced its been driving me crazy...ive asked him ,he said noo he said ppl spread lies so much...so after i ask i let it go than pol started tawkin again i asked again he juz stopped replyin to my msgs im guessing he got mad idk..but like i said i,haven messed with him since last june an ive been tested its been mre than 6months all test negative but ppl keep sayin it take years to show up

I don't believe hiv takes years to show up symptoms may take years to show up but the virus it's self would be present in testing. I think it's because you love your unborn baby and it makes you worry about so many things just try to be positive! If the tests are showing up negative then chances are you are negative for hiv. Chin up dear

It can take about 6 months to show up but they recommend that if you think you came in contact with HIV to get tested every 6 months for 2 years. My friend had a scare when she sat on this guys lap and he had a needle in his pocket and it pierced her skin. The doctor told her to get tested every 6 months for 2 years, I think that's just more of a precaution though, and thankfully she's HIV free. If it's been more than 6 months than I'm sure you're fine.

It would show of in 6 months don't let anyone get in your ear and try to stress you out...you been testing negative so there it is you don't have have the virus.
